Overview

Gas detector adopts advanced catalytic gas sensor or electrochemical sensor, which can translate the gas concentration in the air to the digital signal output. The detector working with gas controller can be used to detect gas in refinery, chemical plant, LPG station, boiler room, painting plant and other places with gas exists.

Working Principle

Catalytic combustion-type combustible gas detectors use the change in resistance of an infusible platinum wire when heated to determine the concentration of combustible gases. When combustible gases enter the detector, they cause an oxidation reaction (flameless combustion) on the surface of the platinum wire. The heat generated increases the temperature of the platinum wire, causing its resistance to change. By measuring this resistance change, the concentration of the combustible gas can be determined.
